The award winning Baobab Beach Resort & Spa will face part closures over the next few months as it begins phases of renovations.
Closure Period – Through 15 August 2024
Affected Room Categories: Garden View and Sea Facing room categories. Stop sales will be issued on all these room categories for the period mentioned.
Enhancements: The upgrade aims to bring an elevated level of luxury and comfort to these room categories, ensuring that our guests have an unforgettable experience when they stay with us.
Affected Guest Facilities: Karibu Restaurant, Tapatapa Bar and Baobab Pool.
Available Room Categories: Superior, Deluxe and Junior Suite
Available Guest Facilities: The Sulisuli, Kipepeo, Jambo and Porini Bars. The Maridadi and Jodari Buffet Restaurants. Both Tangezi and Marhaba a la carte Restaurants. Swahili Lounge and Afya Bora Spa. Porini Amphitheatre and Porini Conference Room.
The scope of works include:
Brand new AC system: with improved performance and higher sustainability rating.
Expansion to Walkways: wider and better lit corridors to allow for better movement of guests, increased air flow and increased natural light.
Redesign of Garden View bathrooms and bedrooms: bathroom size increased and bedroom design is a lot more modern and appealing.
Redesign of Sea facing bathroom with improved layout and larger shower area
This additional scope enables us to create a more luxurious bedroom and bathroom experience combined with a contemporary feel throughout the communal areas.
In the initial closure notification, they had indicated that TapaTapa bar and Pool would remain unavailable to guests. they are pleased to inform you that this facility will now be open for guest use throughout the closure period.
