Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Nairobi
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Spend the day at leisure or choose from optional excursions such as the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the Out of Africa experience, or the Nai Nami Cultural Walking Tour.
Overnight: Nairobi Serena Hotel (Bed & Breakfast)
Day 2 – Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, drive through the scenic highlands and descend into the Great Rift Valley en route to the Masai Mara. Arrive for lunch, followed by your first afternoon game drive across the famed savannah.
Overnight: Mara Serena Safari Lodge (Full Board)
Day 3 – Masai Mara National Reserve
Morning and afternoon game drives in search of lion, leopard, elephant and more. A visit to a local Maasai village can be arranged. Added value: weather permitting, enjoy the Hippo Pool Bush Breakfast beside the Mara River (not available to balloon safari guests, who receive a bush breakfast with their flight).

Day 4 – Masai Mara to Lake Elmenteita (via Lake Nakuru)
Depart the Mara after breakfast and travel to Lake Nakuru National Park for a picnic lunch and game drive—famed for flamingos, black & white rhinos, and Rothschild’s giraffes. Continue to Soysambu Conservancy on Lake Elmenteita, arriving at sunset.
Overnight: Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp (Full Board with select house drinks)
Day 5 – Lake Elmenteita to Amboseli National Park
After an early breakfast, head south via Nairobi to Amboseli National Park, arriving late afternoon. Added value (Elmenteita): weather permitting, a guided bird walk with a resident naturalist.
Overnight: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge (Full Board)
Day 6 – Amboseli National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives beneath Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak, renowned for large elephant herds and dramatic scenery. Added value (Amboseli): weather permitting, take part in a tree-planting activity.
Overnight: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge (Full Board)
Day 7 – Amboseli to Nairobi / Departure
Early breakfast and final views of Kilimanjaro (weather permitting) before returning to Nairobi for early-afternoon drop-off at the airport or city hotel.
