Discover Tanzania’s northern safari circuit with stylish Wellworth properties. From Tarangire’s ancient baobabs to Manyara’s lakeside forests, the boundless Serengeti and the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, this eight-day journey blends classic wildlife viewing with elevated lodge comforts.
Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Gran Meliá Arusha. Settle in and relax after your flight, with Mount Meru as a stunning backdrop.
Overnight: Gran Meliá Arusha (Bed & Breakfast)
Day 2 – Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy game viewing en route to the lodge, followed by lunch. Afternoon game drive among elephants, big cats and iconic baobabs. Return at sunset.
Overnight: Tarangire Kuro Treetops (Full Board)
Day 3 – Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
Early game drive, then continue to Lake Manyara National Park. Lunch at the lodge and an afternoon game drive in search of tree-climbing lions, elephants and prolific birdlife.
Overnight: Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge (Full Board)
Day 4 – Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
Travel to the Serengeti National Park, arriving for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive across the sweeping plains before dinner.
Overnight: Ole Serai Moru Kopjes (Full Board)
Day 5 – Serengeti National Park
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti, home to the Big Five and, seasonally, the Great Migration. Optional: shared hot-air balloon safari with bush breakfast (additional cost).

Day 6 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands
Game-view en route toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Olduvai Gorge and visit a Maasai cultural village. Arrive for a late lunch and time to relax, followed by a special Boma dinner.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge (Full Board)
Day 7 – Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day safari among some 30,000 resident animals, including black rhino, lion and elephant. Picnic lunch on the crater floor; return to the lodge by late afternoon.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge (Full Board with picnic lunch)
Day 8 – Ngorongoro to Arusha / Departure
Drive to Arusha for lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge. Continue to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
